About Obesity
Obesity has become a major problem in the United States over the years. Obesity is a name for someone whose weight is much greater than what is considered to be health for a given weight. Obesity also means a likelihood of problems arising due to unhealthy eating habits and a lack of exercise. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention have stated that since the mid 1970s, obesity has heavily increased for adults and children. From the ages of 20-74-years-old, obesity has increased from 15 percents to 32.9 percent.
For many college students, obesity gets overlooked because of other problems that are getting the majority of concern such as drugs, alcohol and sexuality. It is important for college students to learn how to manage a healthy lifestyle so those habits will be carried on into their post college years.
